Thanks for checking out my reviews! I’m Eddie, 23 from the UK and I inhale, exhale and consume video games daily. On an average day you’ll find me sinking as many hours i can into an underappreciated indie title, classic playstation 3D platformer or game of the year nominee. I love a game that makes me rethink what I thought the genre could achieve, like Spiritfarer, GOW: Ragnarok, the Persona series, but I’m also a sucker for a good video game soundtrack.
Some of my all time favourites include: The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth, Super Mario Galaxy, Bioshock, Sekiro, Emperor’s New Groove PS2, Spiritfarer, Persona 5 Royal, Payday 2 and De Blob.
How I go about scoring a game:
Rating system
0: Let’s hope it never comes to this
1-2: An embarrassing oversight, heavily rushed game or straight-up unenjoyable. Refund worthy.
e.g Raji
3-4: Not god awful but leaves a sour taste. More disappointing than angering.
e.g. Cozy Grove
5-6: A passable, possibly even decent game that has something holding it back. Might not resonate with me as much as others, or is a new instalment in a series that offers nothing new.
e.g. Moonlighter, Eastward
7-8: A good (7) or great (8) game, perhaps held back by a few things but overall enough to warrant a playthrough.
e.g. Bear and Breakfast, Elden Ring
9: An amazing game, a highlight of the year, will most likely be a favourite of mine
e.g. Persona 5: Royal
10: What I consider to be the perfect game, minimal faults that might not even matter in comparison to what is offered.
e.g. God of War: Ragnarok
